{oscar favs and fails}

i love going to sleep after watching events like the oscars. my mind likes to substitute my head on celebs' bodies, wearing the most incredible couture. my mind also had an "avatar" substitution, but i woke myself out of that one, to return to ruffles and organza.

some favs:
(via tmz)
sandy, you looked gorg. and very much like your statue.

(via tmz)
cam, you cannot read a teleprompter to save your soul. but i still love your dress.

and my fav of the night:

zoe, this purple people eater did nothing for me, or you for that matter.

(via usa today)
charlize, we all know you have bubbies. no need to highlight.

and for the menfolk:

(via tmz)
jakey, you're such a hunk.

{in the battle of kim vs. kendra...}

kim won. blah. i didn't really care too much about this super bowl. although, i do love to watch the winning team celebrate at the end of the game. drew brees made me cry when he was with his son. i'm such a sap.
anyways, i did see two ads that i loved. one being this:

and this:

{honestly, this one took my breath away. my love affair with google runs deep}

so are you happy with the results of the game? have any favorite ads to share?

eta: hubs reminded me of this one - i knew there was one i was forgetting!

{in need of a new 'do}

i am completely bored with my hair. seriously, watching paint dry is more exciting than what i've got going on top of this head. i haven't trimmed my bangs since two days before my wedding (5 months ago now), because I thought that i didn't want them anymore. now i think i'm missing them. ugh.

normally, when i look at a celebrity magazine, i look at clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. now, the first thing i scope out is hair. telling, no? so here's what i'm crushing on:

{nicole richie}
i might have a slight girl crush on her (note: post-harlow, not pre) and i am loving her hair right now! she's in the latest marie claire uk (and after she had her son sparrow, can you believe it?!)

(images via here)

{zooey deschanel}
if i have a slight girl crush on nicole, i have the hugest of crushes on zooey. she's adorable, married to ben from death cab, sings with m.ward and a great actress! i love her sense of style. puffy heart love.

{kate beckinsale}
perfect color. so natural-looking. and healthy!

{rachel bilson}
yet another one i love. if only i could pull off some of her looks.

i guess my dilemma lies in: to bang, or not to bang? to go dark dark brown, or just semi-dark brown? to layer or not to layer? ahhh, so many questions. i like them all, maybe i'll just throw a dart and pick one. or, you could give me your input.

how could i forget..

{5 months down, a lifetime to go...}

on friday, the husband and i have been married 5 months! while most people won't be impressed by this mark, we have already passed a few hollywood marriages like:

britney spears + jason alexander
not much of a feat, given it was a whopping 55 hours because she "lacked understanding of her actions" - foreboding much?

carmen electra + dennis rodman
can't figure out why this one didn't work  - maybe carmen didn't like him wearing her wedding dress around the house? these kids lasted 9 whole days.

pam anderson + kid rock
a shirtless, classless groom + a bikini clad bride = 2 months of wedded trashiness bliss.

lisa marie presley + nic cage
what elvis fan wouldn't love marrying the king's daughter as a graceland souvenir? apparently the novelty wears off quickly, because their marriage lasted 107 days.

so while 5 months will be an eventual minute fraction of our lives together, it's kind of fun to stop and think of those who couldn't even see day 3.

next month, we'll have beaten drew barrymore + tom green!
